The best LoL duos pair a champion who creates the opening (crowd control, engage or a shield) with one who takes advantage of it (damage, a finish or scaling), and both players can execute it at the same time. Here are 54 duos we've analyzed, grouped by lane and play style; each one has a guide with the combo, powerspikes by level and runes.
Ranking by real win rate
Duos with at least 30 games played together in patch 26.21 (2 duos with a large enough sample). The percentage is the win rate observed in that sample; with few games it can vary.

How we pick and order the duos
Each duo is analyzed for its mechanical synergy: which ability of one sets up the other's, at what level it gets strong and what can go wrong. Abilities are checked against Data Dragon, Riot's official data, every patch.
We don't invent tiers. The win-rate ranking only appears once there's a large enough sample of real games (Solo/Duo ranked games in Emerald and Diamond on EUW, collected through Riot's official API). Until then we group duos by how they play, which is what really decides which pair suits you.

There's no single best duo for everyone: it depends on whether you want to kill early, control the fight or hold on until the end. These are the most common families of synergy.

A well-prepared combo kills at level 2 or 3, before the enemy can react.
